I thought Sony had been conservative and decided against it when their first steam releases hit but with this move it seems possible that a Sony PC ecosystem was always in the works and it just wasn’t ready for those original releases. Oh well.

I just hope that these companies don’t have the gall to complain about a lack of manpower or expertise availability a few years down the line. Because by coordinating all these layoffs, they are currently creating a vacuum in which a lot of professionals in the industry won’t have any chance to acquire experience and develop their skills, and many will probably have to change their career trajectory significantly just to ensure their economic well-being. And once they see how greener the grass is outside the videogame industry, let me assure you, they won’t be coming back.
If you are not willing to stick with your professionals through your thin, you don’t deserve their availability and effort through your thick.

It is not exclusively about the ammo, it’s the combination of infinite ammo and the extreme versatility mentioned at the beginning of my comment. Of course you can use other weapons, but you don’t really get a reason to because it is enough for every situation.
I don’t understand the “you issue” thing when the statistics image linked here shows that the Beowulf was the most used weapon across all players. That’s like, the most objective, empirical proof possible that it is not a “me issue”!
To further your point, I would add Mixer. Msoft gave up on it just months before Twitch made a series of controversial moves that would have been the perfect moment to strike with an alternative.
I think that part of the difference there is also that Apple is really good at marketing their products into “the cool thing to have” and a status symbol, a lot of their products don’t necessarily gain steam based purely on their functionality but more based on their ability to make it the hottest latest thing to have.

Aaaah the Beowulf, the weapon that contributed to ruining my experience further. Not surprised to see it is the most used. The amount of ways in which that weapon was more convenient than anything else is ridiculous.
In semi-auto it hits almost as hard as anything else you can find, but you find it significantly earlier than most powerful things, and it shoots decently fast. It is very common loot so there is a big chance that you will come across one that is souped up, so you won’t even have to modify it. It is flexible enough that it works at most distances. But…
But, but, but, there is something much much more important than any one of those things that makes it so that it is not worth bothering putting any effort into developing your arsenal beyond this weapon.
Do you know what is the most common loot from pickpocketing the extremely abundant security guards in the world? A loot considered so insignificant that you get a very high chance of stealing it even with relatively mid stealth and pickpocketing skills?

The game considers 7.77 ammo trash loot even though the Beowulf is a very decent performer. I had 1600 rounds when I came across the first decently souped up Beowulf. Why would I put any effort into using anything else? I ended up using that weapon for 75% of the game! What the fuck.

For me getting the full Murphy journey is not worth the metric ton of diarrhea that seasons 6 and 7 dump on season 5’s beautiful, emotional ending; but it is a matter of personal preference I feel.
BTDubs while there are fellow cultured The 100 fans prowling around, if you are looking to scratch that The 100 itch, I’ll quickly recommend Yellowjackets as that show is the closest thing to The 100 at the moment imo.
Ah so glad to see someone else mention The 100, it was one of my guilty pleasure shows. When it is bad it is bad , but when it is good it is as good as anything else out there. It also has some of my favourite end of season cliffhangers of all time.
If you do check it out make sure to get off at the end of season 5 because that’s the best ending you are gonna get.
