While I appreciate your sentiment, Pandas definitely might beat us. They’re already endangered and they’re fucking idiots.

Sure, but the OP is talking about groceries…
I’ve literally never even seen a website notification. I wasn’t aware they were a thing that existed. I imagine if you follow these simple steps, you too can enjoy the internet without fear.
But you could have
“Government decides how Government resources are governed.”
…
Yeah, seems pretty reasonable.
Being able to use Google maps (which is constantly updated, integrated with my contacts, and actually had a UI/UX team design it’s interface) on the tablet sized vehicle display and car stereo system, in addition to whatever music apps, is pretty nice. As well as Google search via steering wheel controls for managing navigation.
Yeah, I could play stuff with Bluetooth or use the integrated GPS system but the quality of audio is noticably worse and the GPS is absolutely shit but nice to have in a pinch.
Honestly idk what other apps integrate with AA, music and directions pretty much do the trick for me.
It’s a lot easier to shovel a foot of snow thrice than it is to shovel 3 feet of snow that’s compacted, melted down a bit, formed a freezing layer on top and ice on the bottom, and now your shovel is broke because you were trying to pry up that ice with 60lb of snow on top of it.
But at that point you say fuck it and just pay a guy to swing by with his plow and throw out some salt.
I appreciate the sentiment though.
“until something happens”
I suppose Metas history of actively being a bad actor working against societies best interests and enabling hate groups doesn’t qualify as ‘something’…
If it were the latter she could have still enjoyed live performances (assuming those people were good musicians playing in a good venue) but yeah sounds like she just didn’t like music. Which, to me, is crazy. When people say they don’t really listen to or don’t like music, I literally can’t even imagine what that’s like. There is so much diversity in music, especially now. Playing instruments has been a part of human history for at least 40,000 years and we’ve been singing as long as we’ve had vocal cords.
GOTTA GET DOWN ON FRIDAY
I mean really, who isn’t looking forward to the weekend, weekend
Community* not sub
You’re really missing the point. Nobody would say “the ‘goal’ per se is decreasing attendance to events like this”.
They did exactly what they set out to do. Make a public spectacle that people write news stories on and then the public talks about it. Normalizing discourses of these issues and drawing more attention and support to addressing them.
People who are already of the corporate lapdog mindset that any inconvenience to them about social, political, and environmental issues should just go away won’t have their minds changed. But nobody wants to change their minds, they understand these people won’t change.
But young people especially will be drawn to support causes and invoke change when they are constantly reminded that their future is being destroyed around them, instead of just buying into distractions and ignoring it all.
Apt username, Problematic Consumer.
Meta is cancer. You don’t let cancer grow and see if it ends up maybe causing issues or killing you. You cut every trace of it out as soon as it’s detected.
Meta has never done anything to show it is a corporation that acts in good faith. In fact it has proven time and time again it is actively acting in bad faith, against people, community, and privacy interests in order to drive profit with no regard for anything else.
Kill the cancer before it kills you.
Would you consider editing your original post to reflect that :)
The question that remains to be answered is, are the normies that moved to Reddit responsible for what it became? Or was it a product of the corporate profit driven manipulation of the platform? Time will tell…
Edit: It’s worth noting, I don’t mean to say ‘normies’ a a pejorative term, just the most casual way to differentiate the more tech-savvy, active early adopters that I find many people currently using the platform are, versus those who are simply doom scrolling content on social media.
Also the fact that campaign wasn’t even available on launch. I was pretty excited for some co-op campaign but never even went back after they implemented it months later.
Here’s an example https://www.google.com/robots.txt
Basically it’s a file people put in their root directory of their domain to tell automated web crawlers what sections of the website and what kind of web crawlers are allowed to access their resources.
It isn’t a legally binding thing, more of a courtesy. Some sites may block traffic if they’re detecting the prohibited actions, so it gives your crawlers an idea of what’s okay in order to not get blocked.
