i mean, the main concern for most shareholders is the stock price, and meta stock price in the last 6 months has gone up 20% and 47% on the last year, im pretty sure most of them are happy as long as the bubble keeps going up

Before i reply i really would need to know if you are even joking, i get that its a trend on lemmy, going rondabouts in a discussion completely losing the point of the argument in a long post instead of replying to what the other user said, but to have to read arguments about tourism outside major cities in things like ski resorts and small villages when the thread is about Barcelona (and the metropolitan area around it) and im bringing examples about what other major cities are doing just seems like trolling at this point by your part.
The metropolitan area of Barcelona has 5,3 million population, im sure an example of a random village with 2k people applies. By the way, a big part of tourism in BCN is already on the edges of the metropolitan area on illegal, or at least gray, airBnbs.
Go on again about tourism on villages in specific seasons and agriculture? Just lol.
Anyway, have a good day mate.
I wasnt talking about richer cities than Barcelona inside spain, altough the numbers are skewed due to having very rich zones at the same time they have very poor neighborhoods. I was talking about the rest of the world in zones that are already regulating tourism, as in New York, Venezia etc
It just keeps showing that mass tourism cant be sustained and never benefits the working class, people that is against regulating tourism dont really know what they are talking about.
https://uk.news.yahoo.com/venice-introduces-five-euro-tourist-153408391.html
Lmao, massified tourism cant be sustained anywhere, even in zones where the average citizen is wealthier than in Barcelona its starting to get regulated.
What is plain wrong is to talk out of your ass about a matter you dont even start to understand.
Oh yeah, a job that pays less than what costs just the rent everywhere in a 3 hour radious of where that job is. Really useful to anyone that is fine with living below a bridge.
Which means nothing when it only creates poor paying jobs and pushes everyone out of their cities lol. Most of the money generated by tourism doesnt reach the working class pockets while it clearly makes their quality of life worse. Mass unregulated tourism only helps the wealthy.
First, its obvious that anything pro israeli is going to be met with backslash when they are doing a freaking genocide. Second, downvoting is not censoring, is just people saying they disagree with you or your comment is just stupid/non helpful
Im sure a lot of countries doing nothing against the rise of neo nazis/fascists parties and the fake news they promote has nothing to do with this.
those are pretty good prices for 7840 and 8840. Most handhelds with a 7840 have been closer to 1k.
They have a demo on steam for Fights in tight spaces if you want to give the game a try, its worth the shot, but yeah, this one has a better theme imo and looks like they improved in a lot of aspects, specially interaction with the enviroment and other characters
Maybe you should reflect on that mate, even if it was true that those were done in photo mode, not in engine, photo mode does let them change light, focus, blur, depth of field, and so on, which would by definition be already bullshots not how the game looks in movement. Not to say that its obvious most of the steam pics do have post edits. So yeah, i think this place is indeed becoming worse than reddit, there people wasnt so protective of game companies to such a stupid level and people didnt take offense from a comment about the steam page of a game that doesnt even talk about the game itself.
I found Fights in tight spaces just fine, but this one is looking really well
Thanks for stating im right. Have a nice day and try to not be so passive agressive with someone that is stating facts and not even saying anything bad about a game in an online forum.
I had never heard of this game, pretty cool concept. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fv9t5zg3O_Y This is the video the article seems to use as a reference in most of its images.
The game has been out for more than 2 years, not 1, most of what is in the trailer and screenshots of the steam page is cinematics and bullshots, bullshots are in game images edited to appear better than they are, most of those fit that definition, both by framing and by retouches that are not present in moving gameplay, like lighting fixes, focus, depth of field etc. Im not critizing the game, just stating what is on that steam page, which is pretty sad for a game that has been out for more than 2 years and has pretty good graphics by itself.
For a game that has been released since February 2022 to only have bullshots on their steam page… Edit: Even the trailer they have on the steam page for the pc release has barely 10 seconds of real gameplay in 1:30 minutes, they really dont believe in people buying the game for what it is.
Remember that GOG subscribes you to all their marketing bullshit when you claim a free game, so just a reminder to go to your gog account settings and disable all that shit.
fun fact, i had been noticing this for over a week or two already, today, after the first posts about this were gaining traction it stopped. They are probably trying to erase their tracks and make it seem like something that only happened to a few people for an unrelated reason.
Except people has been stealing art to do NFTs without paying the artists from day 1?
Thats debatable, he asked if shareholders were happy with meta burning billions, if the shareholders werent happy they would be looking for an out and making the stock price go down, them being fine with it makes it so buying stock becomes more expensive as people is holding and the value goes up.
