I haven’t even read the article yet, and my cynical ass came to the same conclusion based on the headline. 😣

Haha. My partner has Verizon, and they have parts of Marlborough where it just completely cuts out. I know that Wal*mart, and it’s just over the city line. AT&T is slightly better.
Conceptually I like this Eurovision knockoff, but even the thought of listening to and picking the top three of 72 songs is exhausting. Can we have semifinals?
Perhaps another useful option would be to show the poster’s name on reblogs, so it’s easier to spot reposting trends. As it is now, I have to open the post to see who made the re-post.
It’s one of the reasons I stopped following technology at Lemmy.world. So many reposts and no easy way just to swipe and make disappear, so I have to act on everything.
ISTG - Technology feels like a bunch of bots just spamming articles from all the tech rags. :(
Ha… Haha… Hahaha… AHAHAHAHA
My first thought was a new block list for Lemmy or Mastodon admins.
I wouldn’t say this is mildly infurating. :/
Won’t someone think of the poor shareholders /s

It’s only fair game if Meta gets to do it, and profit from it. /s
AT&T is already calling it 6GE(volution). /s
Will someone please think of the CEO’s bonus?? (…Nah, they can get bent.)
I’ve updated my PWA to the latest version, and I don’t see this toggle. Perhaps it is specific to the native apps.
(Re-read the release notes. Yup, it’s native app only.)
I got too excited when I saw the first half of the headline. :P
Admittedly their fees are blatant because Uncle Sam basically handed them the whole market in the 2010s, when they were allowed to merge with Live Nation.
Still using it as a self-hosted PWA over here. I’ve even made a script to fetch a version from git, cross compile it for my Pi and ship it over. Keep up the good work! :)
I noticed that, too. Had to re set it in settings.
