Decades of retro game collecting experience leads me to agree :)
I like video games :)

I’m about 6 years completely Amazon-free. A key component of the switch was realizing a lot of the random stuff I’d buy (mostly cycling equipment) is cheaper on eBay with faster shipping. The irony is that the seller is likely the same one on Amazon and the items would be delivered by Amazon Fulfillment Services.
Not sure what drugs you’re doing but I’m about 6 years clean now. One thing that helped me the most was rediscovering my passion for video games. I guess my advice would be to find a hobby or something to focus on and forget about the world for a few hours.
If you want to feel like you’re doing something productive, get involved in your local community. It’s very difficult to fight fascism at a macro level but building bonds and protecting those in your immediate vicinity makes more of a difference than it seems.
I deactivated Facebook proper years ago but still have Messenger active due to one group chat and the ability to contact many people I don’t have other contact info for. I don’t install it on my phone or access it on my desktop- only have it on my old iPad. Check it maybe once or twice a month.
If I ever get a new iPad, I’m probably going to cut it off for good.
Will and Jada have some suspicious ties to the Church and its beliefs too. They’ve denied being part of it but some instances are so overt that it’s likely true.
I found out who ProJared was on May 9th, 2019.
The bots were always there, the bot-to-human ratio is just much higher now
Same tbh
Feel that- source: I’m a Like A Dragon fan.
But another reason I tend to binge each game is lack of storage space and rising file sizes. Don’t want to download 100 GB again so better finish it immediately.
Something I’m starting to realize too. Just because I start a game doesn’t mean I need to play it to the credits as soon as possible. I’m the only one fixated on my trophy list or hours played.
Damn that’s heartbreaking. Genesis was not only my first console; the earliest conscious memory I have of my life is playing Sonic 2 with my Mom. I know it’s probably different people at the company making these decisions, but retro SEGA means a lot to me and my journey as a person.
This is exactly what I do! And I’ve also noticed how much more time I’ve spent doing other things as opposed to doomscrolling.
So I’m a huge fan of The Smiths…
The SSD also goes from 825GB to 1TB
Sometimes the best memes are made by those who are furthest away from the subject matter. I’m over here with the 9¢ green tea bags from Wegman’s though.
5 years? Honestly, I give old reddit maybe 1 year left.
It used to be great for gaming news updates. Back when the feed would just be who the user chose to follow. Sure, the big stuff would make it to Facebook eventually but I felt it was a better product for breaking news.
Yeah- tbh I can understand why they’d want to do something appreciative for the Day Ones but the Day Ones also could’ve bought it on Steam at the time.
Another streaming service that started around the same time as Netflix’s. More focused on TV shows and now owned by Disney.
