Most people can change their beliefs. However, we don’t always have the time, and we aren’t ever obligated to entertain stupid beliefs.
“I’m knittin’ like a fuckin electric nan”

Lots of butthurt entitlement ITT.
Choosing my own default apps, getting apps from other locations (like F-droid), adblockers. Those are the big ones.
That’s fine, but this comment thread is about centrists and the left working together to defeat the right. There is either no political left, or there is no political center. The democrats are already all united. It just isn’t really analogous to a parliamentary system.
We only have “centrists”. There’s no ‘left’ for them to work with. The democrats do everything they can to keep anyone remotely leftist from being elected within their party, and to maintain the political duopoly.
We don’t really have a ‘left’ here, unfortunately.
Which I cannot understand lol.
Yeah it’s his company, and I think that is basically it.
I’ve had some problems with mounting disks in my user home folder. I can’t recall the details, but it did cause me a headache at some point.
I don’t know, but I wonder the same. I’m in the US and work for a guy that has tens of millions of dollars. He still spends all day in the office 6 days a week. To be fair, I don’t think he does it for the money, exactly, but I can’t understand why he keeps working at all.
Literally anything that anyone can ever imagine, is not all equally probable.
Beer, or if I don’t want beer then I order a tequila tonic. It’s easy for the bartender and it’s like a light margarita.
Not everyone needs to fight cops in the streets (respect and support to those that do!). There are other ways to fight as well: organizing strikes, sabotage, [redacted]. I think the main problem is that the fascism pot has been simmering for so long, that people are mostly used to it, and can no longer really imagine the alternative. We’re so isolated from each other, and desperate to survive that too many of us will “keep calm and carry on” as long as it isn’t our necks on the chopping block.
I guess, but this just kind of redefines how most people think of egoism/selfishness/altruism etc. Where does it lead? If making people happy is selfish, and making people happy is ‘good’, does that mean any selfish act is ‘good’? Does it really take away from ‘good’ acts if the performer derives happiness from them?
I take the same precautions crossing a Chinese border as I do crossing a US one.
All of them.
How is it deflecting when you call me a “white savior” for having an outsider opinion about this genocide, if I hold your opinion to the same standard? Have you considered that the rank and file of Hamas live in Palestine? The ones that are fighting and dying? That they themselves are the children and orphans of Palestine?
I’m am sure that there is a variety of opinions among the Palestinian people, just as there are among the Israelis and Americans. I am aware of the limitations of my own perspective, but all I can do is apply my knowledge and principles to the situation as I see it. You’re doing the same, and I don’t really see any point in continuing this conversation. Take that as you will.
Oh shit. Do you live Palestine?
This is true. There’s even a Linux command to grab the license key. The key won’t work on any other hardware tho, so it’s kind of useless :)
