so they’ve covered all 4 horsemen in the last 4 games:
- Darksiders 1 - War
- Darksiders 2 - Death
- Darksiders 3 - Fury
- Darksiders Genesis - Strife (+War)

But you can already train models at home also you can just extend existing models with new training data. Will that be regulated too? How?
You’re free to learn from any piece of music too. Whether AI is actually learning is still debatable but you have the same rights right now.
I’m still on the edge tbh I feel like it is learning and it is transformative but it’s just too powerful for our current copyright framework.
Either way, that’ll be such a headache for the transformative work clause of copyright for years to come. Also policing training would be completely unenforcable so any decision here would be rather moot in real world practice either way.
I’ve been very satisfied by OSM map apps (mostly use Organic Maps) but my main issue is the lack of places and that’s why I use Google Maps mostly.
Edit: actually found https://mapcomplete.org/ which aims to kinda do that? Still exploring but seems really cool so far.
Every day it feels like we’re getting closer to battery revolution. It really makes you wonder how different the world will be once we have these incredible batteries actually working at consumer level.
A bit dated descriptions FYI. The Flashcards should follow time based boxes and Pomodoro technique shouldn’t be time based but goal based - interrupting mid chapter is worse than not taking a break.
That being said both flashcards and pomodoro breaks are still some of the best control techniques when done correctly! Been working remotely for almost 20 years now - tried everything :)
Remember when you had RSS with HUNDREDS of different websites and had your own personal little newspaper every day 🥲
No you cannot transfer copyright with ToS agreements just give license for reddit to use your copyright.
It’s also just indexing not some data harvesting too.
Reddit would lose badly that’s why they don’t sue. US’ 9th circuit ruled that scraping Linkedin is legal and Bing is not even scraping but indexing the data. Easiest case ever.
It’s almost impossible to block web scraping especially someone with Microsoft or Perplexity resources.
Its clearly an attempt to blackmail indexers into license deal as paying something to reddit could be actually cheaper than battling anti robots.
Generally I believe in rehab but this case is seriously WTF. The dude’s lack of remorse is even bigger WTF. No one should be defending this monster.
No, I don’t think so. Just because you put a clause in ToS doesn’t make it legally binding and most precedent is in favor of the original copyright owner.

I think it’s mostly about saving face for advertisers. Which is funny because Google never does anything for saving face for their users as they shut down services that literally cost a rounding error for them to run.
Reddit responded: “Only google pays us”. The content is not yours. You built this of naive user base that just wanted to share now these fuckers are taking it as their entitlement. As early an reddit user - fuck that place, I’m still angry.
Surprise surprise. Peaceful protests yet again did nothing against totalitarians.
Are we allowed to celebrate someones death in this lemmy community? If so color me celebrated!
The west is legit afraid of Russia’s collapse because once again someone will have to bail Russia out and it’ll either be another 1988 mess or a new toy for China.
What will happen to Russia once it’s fully in “war economy” and loses the war?
Eh the article makes it sound like its a more serious attack than a retirement home scuffle
swamp people?
