WTF are demonstrable analytical skills?

Anyway I hope I hope online artists, and authors are able to use this to sue AI companies for stealing their copyrighted works.
No no no no, this is part of the trickle down economics we’ve been promised for decades. It only works going down, not punching up.
In Texas we have summer heat that even an air conditioned house can’t keep up with at times. It can get hot enough that a some home AC systems will run and run and not maintain a comfortable temp.
The only reason Toyota is pushing back against EV is because they are so heavily invested in hydrogen powered vehicles, which isn’t going to happen.
Haha ok so you’re just one of those people whose understanding of the universe isn’t capable of expanding beyond “this good, that bad”.
I haven’t defended anyone and never intended to. I’m just saying get your comparisons straight. “Hey this game has a bunch of annoying bugs” =/= “Yo this shit is effectively non-functional and empty”.
I’m not downplaying anything, but comparing a dumpster to a dumpster fire and saying they are the same thing is, at best, a little misleading.
The release of Witcher 3 was bad, but it was industry standard bad. Cyberpunk shipped straight up broken and incomplete. It has been fundamentally reworked at least twice since launch.
I don’t think anyone is apologizing for The Witcher 3 at launch, but let’s not pretend they are the same thing. There are more shades than black and white.
CP2077 was far worse, but that doesn’t mean the Witcher 3 was okay, it was still absolutely botched.
This is literally a rewording of what I just said.
I’m not so sure we’re talking about the same scale of horrendous here.
Meanwhile in America, we had to take my daughter to the hospital to have a penny unstuck from the roof of her mouth. The only reason I couldn’t get it out is because she was being hysterical and nearly hurt herself in the process. Removing it took 2 mins, a suction tube, and a q-tip. It cost us $300 out of pocket.
I don’t need another hole in my phone that does nothing but collect debris.
Ok? I don’t think that changes my argument very much.
That is pretty reductive. Like, it’s a sim. You could describe just about any sim the same way. “You just do this thing to do that thing”. How is this any different from any other game?
I’m not saying it’s the best space game, but I had fun when I played it and it definitely didn’t just feel like I was mining materials just to mine more materials.
This is not a universal truth. I am a union electrician and I make decent money but I am most certainly not set for life. It takes some significant overtime but it’s not uncommon for guys to take home 6 figures.
Enjoy. One of the best games ever made.
It also feels like you have a voice that people can hear instead of being drowned out.
You know I think a lot of us get so wrapped up in the lack of traffic on this site that we overlook this particular benefit. There are several usernames on Lemmy that I can, not only recognize, but also associate a bit of a personality with from the interactions I have seen and had on the fediverse. I think that’s a pretty neat thing to experience amongst the huddled masses of the Internet in 2024.
Everyone on lemmy is a bot except for you.
I’m sure I’m going to get some shit for this, but here we go! I own a wyzecam that I keep in (but due to lack of necessity will soon be removing from) my daughter’s room. We had it there just to check and see if she was asleep in her crib still without walking up the very creaky stairs/hall to her room.
It has pretty garbage resolution, has no sensitive information in frame, is not in a part of the house that anything can be overheard, and literally just shows a blurry image of our daughter’s bed.
I guess someone could theoretically sign in and…watch a 3 year old sleep? The worst case scenario I can imagine is someone using the speaker function to scare my kid, which would suck, but I think I can risk it.
RIP Mitch Hedberg
Is there someone more likely to execute Gaben’s vision and follow in his footsteps?
If people hate your guts chances are you’re not a good manager.
