I had no idea that this is a global phenomenon.
I had no idea that this is a global phenomenon.
I have to admit that I still go back to Reddit regularly. There‘s just (still) more interesting / engaging content and more interaction there. Although I would be happy to go „all in fediverse“.
Not a mod, and not using the default app either. So probably this won’t affect me too much.
Could be the start to a fruitful “leave or stay“ discussion.
Killing civilians is terrorism!
Your link doesn’t work, or st least it seems to be unavailable for viewers in Europe.
Used it maybe a dozen times in the past 20 years.
I really don’t think that Mastodon needs influencers. It’s just normal people talking about normal stuff. Don’t need any “I‘m so glorious, and here’s my product that will make you think you’re glorious, too” kind of influencers there, thanks!
I thought he was a good mayor, making New York better/safer than it was before. But I don’t know too many details about his time as mayor
The whole election system in America is flawed, this “the winner takes it all” system combined with the electoral college, which can turn out to ignore the majority vote is laid out to foster a “them against us” mentality. And before you let the other side win (“bohooo, they are all communists…”), you’d rather give criminal your vote. Coalitions and compromises like in other countries with a “majority system” are not very likely in this constellation.
I wonder how this one respected politician could end up as a pathetic figure spreading lies about a “stolen presidency” next to a porn shop in order to support a notorious liar and former reality TV host?
Yes, intranet and a lot of internal “applications” run in the Edge browser. That’s probably the reason why.
You’d rather watch some chinese stuff than ads?
Seems like they are pushing their Edge browser over the edge… - in our company (also totally reliant on MS365), Edge sets itself as default browser after every reboot, no matter what you said before (we also have Firefox ESR as an alternative browser).
Every link clicked in Teams is processed in Edge via some kind of “safe links” checking. They probably sell it as advanced security, but it makes you feel like a five year old, as if you wouldn’t know what you are clicking on…
Invidious / piped.video is the way (as long as it continues to work)!
WTF?! „… force browser providers to create the means to mandatorily block websites present on a government provided list.“
Today it’s some terrorist / pedophile / fraudulent site, tomorrow it could be some opposition, news or whatever could be disliked site on that list.
Someone wrote in a review they this great app “feels like home” because it reminds one of Apollo for Reddit so much.
I tried a couple of the new Lemmy apps and Voyager is my favorite so far. One thing, I would appreciate for one of the next releases would be some kind of “privacy redirect” built in to redirect e.g. YouTube links to piped.video and others as well.
Thanks and keep up the good work! I’ll go ahead and leave a review soon.
Which one do you prefer / recommend?
Wasn’t Twitter / Xitter / X (whatever they are called now) the company that asked your for your phone number “for your own (account) security” and then got all these phone numbers stolen by some hackers?
Hell yeah, why not do the same shit with your government ID. These are probably even more worth in the darknet.
That was killed quickly.
