Remind me in 2 years when this project becomes discontinued…
Just a happy Fedora Gnome Linux user & metalcore music lover. Drop Acid, Not Bombs!
Remind me in 2 years when this project becomes discontinued…
They only have 40 posts so I gave them a follow. It’s when accounts have like 10k posts and an account is less than a year old that I won’t follow them, I don’t need that noise.
I use a filter on Mastodon so I can limit how much Elon Musk headlines I see. People love to talk about him, I mean here we are…but at least with the filter I can tune out the noise most of the time. It’s blissful. A shame there’s no filters (that I know of) on Lemmy to hide asshats like this. I already know Musk is a POS, I don’t need to see a dozen articles every single day to remind me…
“Wtf else do people want in gimp, an automatic dick sucking machine?”
I mean, now that you mention it, I would very much yes. YES.
I guess Lemmy is mostly tech nerds like myself, but it’s still cool as hell to see another Fedora user around :)

Pros: vertical tabs, web apps, side panel, workspaces, many customizations. to be clear tho, Firefox has already stated they will be incorporating most of these features by version 130 or sooner.
Cons: no mobile app, video playback with DRM may be an issue on some sites, uncertain future, essentially it’s maintained by one dev so if they ever go the future is uncertain.
tl;dr, Floorp is kind of like Vivaldi with customizing and privacy in mind, but based on Firefox’s gecko engine
Ngl, I’m tearing up to this. 18 is a long time for a dog, some breeds don’t typically live passed a handful of years. I’ve got a lil pup of my own and this just reminds me to be grateful for having him while I still do. Gonna give him some extra happy pets today while I try not to tear up. God I love dogs.
Just watched the video. Maybe it’s just me, but if you’re the driver in a Tesla, and it’s foggy as fuck outside, maybe, just maybe, don’t use the self driving aspect when visibility is that bad. The amount of people willing to trust Tesla with their lives (and others on the road…) is too damn high!
You’re in for a treat, as Internet Comment Etiquette with Erik released a video last week, where he actually goes into those REddit dog subs. If you’re unfamiliar with this channel, please know it’s entirely satire, most of the time. Well worth a watch!
Ok, you got a pig snort outta me on that one!
And if it’s bad, they’ll have wasted billions on it and will ruin their reputation even worse.
Ah, the Meta approach! I love to see it!
Should be fixed now, not sure why it was set to that.
$50 bucks for the movies? What are you sitting on Steven Spielberg’s lap?
I use Nitter Redirect (Firefox addon), but I do appreciate seeing a nitter link in the wild, thanks!
I’m sorry I forget the source, but I once read something from a scientist that in your entire life, if you reuse/recycle/protect the environment, etc for your own single entire life, you will have starved off climate change for 1 whole second. Mind boggling to know your entire existence comes down to that litter of a difference. The point of what I remember reading was not that individuals are the problem, but that corporations and big industries were the worst offenders doing little to help change.
I once commented saying something like, except for work, all Linux users should be using Firefox. And this was the reply. Some people are just fucking hopeless:
"Firefox has only ever been a sometime back-up browser for me…ever since Chrome appeared in 2007. Prior to that, I used it because it was the sole usable alternative to Internet Exploder…
The Mozilla devs, for far too long, spent more time stabbing each other in the back than they did writing code and fixing the tons of problems that were always inherent in the code. It’s the only browser I’ve ever used that used to regularly crash & burn at least a dozen times a day. And ya wonder why people flocked to Chrome?"
I need some great stuff to watch, mind mentioning some of your favorite shows? Thanks!
The progress bar is almost finshed!!..and I’m done.
If you’re still using Google Chrome in 2024, you might be a moron. #Firefox
