If you want to sell a product you would have to register that deposit in the database, similarly if you get it back you have to access the database to know how much to pay out. If you don’t want to limit selling products to large businesses everyone needs access.

Even if it was scattered everywhere you would definitely have people pick it back up for the deposit. That works with bottles in Germany and the deposit for them gets as low as 8ct.

Because the deposit is tied to inflation. Older products might end up with way outdated deposits if you print the sum on the packaging, so it would have to be token based. The token is then inflation safe.

That would make having a mountain of long lived useless trash a solid inflation safe investment plan.

Idk about where you live, but “versuchter Totschlag” is very much a thing in Germany. Translates to attempted manslaughter and is in essence an extension to aggravated assault for cases where it should be obvious to the perpetrator, that their actions are significantly likely to cause death.

It is a problem, when the camera is focused on the sun for extended periods of time. The heat concentration on the sensor can damage the IR and or Beyer filter, kill individual pixels or even crack the sensor outright.

Also, be extremely careful with DSLRs, the sensor will be fine, but your eye will not.

I feel like 1500 for THE premium office chair really isn’t much when you look at, for example Smartphone prices. And lots of people spend nearly as much time in their computer chair as in their bed. And I don’t think 1500$ is a lot for a bedframe, mattress, pillow and blanket.

I’ve heard they are worth it, though I have never sat in one. IKEA also makes surprisingly good office chairs, those I know and recommend.
