i agree that the meat industry is a disaster, and i wish there was a proper compromise that could suit everyone. many people in the us simply dont care or have this moral consciousness in the first place because, again, meat tastes good

the solution in reality is to somehow get people eating less meats as we tackle the major issues we face today. making a burger that tastes identical to a traditional burger is not easy and it is as it stands now much more expensive anywhere you go, which isnt changing without baby steps

going out to eat in rural ny with a budget, my options that i can afford dont include vegan anything barring a side salad. im not giving up what nice things i can go out and enjoy until theres more options. call me selfish idrc, i have enough to deal with as it stands. not going to give up something that does make me happy like going out to eat with family to prove a point to an industry that doesnt even know i exist

there are moral concerns but for most people (majority will never even know what lemmy is) simply don’t care and will never care, because meat tastes good

there are genuine health issues with cannibalism unlike dogs and cats, bet we taste good too given the right seasonings tho

the micro transactions are completely optional in the first place really, the currency is super easy to earn by just playing

sounds more like they designed it around chrome and didnt take firefoxes differences into account, and have yet to fix it because in the grand scheme of things it’s a small issue

lame, hopefully they fix that some time. otherwise their service is pretty great, and for most downloads that isnt an issue

can vouch for mega, been using it for 8 years now with no real issues. only sticking point is file download limits with Firefox, and thats just because im too lazy to download the desktop app

bought my ebike a year ago for 600 usd, lock it up in a good place and its jist as likely to get stolen as anything else. i wouldnt be cycling to work daily if i had to push my bags up the hills to work, the motor helps my little legs get stronger without killing my motivation

not exaggerating? i pan my camera in a field and i can see the framerate drop to sub 20, using explosive arrows and fire fx also tank it to sub 10 at points

i love botw, played 170 hours of it. but its no secret that it needs a more powerful device to at least maintain 30 fps

the framerate is pretty all over the place, better hardware would allow for 60 fps a good amount of the time. games are amazing, just irks me that i have to watch a slideshow every camera pan

member list swipe being missing is a problem

not being able to swipe from dm to dm list is a problem

performance is a MUCH BIGGER problem than either of these, my galaxy s9+ should NOT be on its knees begging for for forgiveness by using a fucking chat app.

the prior two can be easily fixed, but the performance is really concerning. ill be using aliucord until they sort that stuff out anyway, new app is pretty but unfortunately flawed
