Actually that’s a golden idea, I haven’t even thought about that, would love to see some software on here implementing a downvote cap, also crushing downvoted comments could be a better way instead of hiding them
Hello! That’s my main mbin account, my kbin account is @Fitik
I’m just a regular person from Israel🇮🇱, a queer, and a #Fediverse enthusiast!
Actually that’s a golden idea, I haven’t even thought about that, would love to see some software on here implementing a downvote cap, also crushing downvoted comments could be a better way instead of hiding them
As a furry, real
@asdfasdfasdf@lemmy.world There’s Servo ( @servo@floss.social ), it’s a browser engine written in rust
@Diabolo96@lemmy.dbzer0.com
@TheTwelveYearOld@lemmy.world Nice, thanks for sharing, you can also crosspost it to !firefox@fedia.io or !firefoxCSS@fedia.io
@Blaze@reddthat.com On my instance there is 3 active communities, I am not admin in any of them but i think they’re pretty cool
!Firefox@fedia.io - Community dedicated to the firefox browser !FirefoxCSS@fedia.io - Community dedicated to the customization of Firefox !FloatingIsFun@fedia.io - Got very cool CSS and looks pretty and customized, dedicated to art and pics of floating things
@jaybone@lemmy.world
What does mbin have that Lemmy does not?
IMHO much better integration with the rest of the Fediverse, it supports note type activity (posts without a title, thus supporting most of the Fediverse), it supports adding tags (#hashtags) to threads, it also supports boosting posts and a few more things like that
There will also be PeerTube support soon
@WebWizard@links.hackliberty.org @cron@feddit.org @originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com @massive_bereavement@fedia.io
@fubarx@lemmy.ml Thanks for sharing, I haven’t listened so it was really interesting!
@Die4Ever@programming.dev
@bobbytables@discuss.tchncs.de
there even is a bridge to Mastodon
To the whole Fediverse, just to it’s microblogging side, and you can’t follow users on Lemmy, so you can’t opt in, but I have this account bridged and it’s running on mbin
@WebWizard@links.hackliberty.org @khorovodoved@lemm.ee
@Usernameblankface@lemmy.world Yep, I wonder who’s the author of it, maybe they can update it
@WebWizard@links.hackliberty.org @cron@feddit.org @originalucifer@moist.catsweat.com
@i_am_not_a_robot@feddit.uk Nice, as a mbin user thank you!
@Defaced@lemmy.world Guilded isn’t open source tho, unlike Revolt or Matrix
@BonesOfTheMoon@lemmy.world @DarkDarkHouse@lemmy.sdf.org @citrusface@lemmy.world
@threelonmusketeers@sh.itjust.works Both of these instances use mbin, there’s pretty much no instances left on kbin except kbin.social, almost all instances migrated to mbin
@MattWalsh@sh.itjust.works @Glowstick@lemmy.world
fedia.io is the biggest one and the one I’m using, there’s also kbin.run and kbin.earth
It doesn’t really exist in software I’m using:( (Mbin)
Sorry, that’s a cool infographic, but how is it related to the Fediverse?
Librewolf’s official community is on ml sadly !librewolf@lemmy.ml
There in Threadiverse there also exists !a11y@programming.dev community for discussing digital accessibility, however it’s not very active, but it does seem important
On mbin/kbin you can actually do this, you can block/subscribe to other instances(domains) as well
Well, !interstellar@kbin.earth/ @interstellar@kbin.earth exists, have you tried it? And to be honest I understand you, I wish it had more apps as well
I don’t know if anyone remembers it, but Twitter actually had dislike as experimental feature for some users for some time before Elon, I think like 2 or 3 years ago, I remember having it on one of my accounts
