There is probably no reason now, but hopefully in the near future Sublinks will reach feature parity with Lemmy, and could even surpass it. Technological stack can have a huge impact on the development speed of a project.
In other words, let’s wait and see
Java, Go, TypeScript, and HTML
Different technologies. Rust is a more niche language, which is sometimes used to explain why there aren’t that many contributors to Lemmy
Makes sense, let us know about the progress on your project, seems promising!
That’s interesting.
The demo indeed looks very much like Lemmy, I guess the changes are mostly in the back-end side: https://demo.sublinks.org/
There is !harrypotter@literature.cafe if you want to join. There is some activity at the moment, but not enough to go for a dedicated instance.
Also, as the other comments have shown, the bigotry of the author does not help.
Good luck guys!
Sorry to hear, it must be tough for the admins do deal with it on a weekend
When you use Gmail to send an email to Outlook, those two servers are federated.
Defederation blocks communication between servers.
Go fuck yourself you tankie cunt
Is that really necessary?
Thanks!
The way you describe it could be something like Mastodon or Misskey where people post articles. Both of those platforms are using ActivityPub too
An RSS feed for blogs that don’t implement ActivityPub?
Thanks for sharing CC!
Great news!
A few obscure national film makers, but you probably need to understand the language to really get their movies, so that makes sense.
Also, feel free to come to !moviesandtv@lemm.ee to come talk about movies!
Thank you so much!
Thanks
Same. I only use Mastodon for the explore page, which is basically an algorithm for the most popular posts
That’s a nice roadmap
