There’s also group C which I was part of, you just say that you just pooped or scratch your butt whenever they ask you to load/unload and they’ll immediately offer to do that for you instead.

This would be a meme by itself:
You’re grasping at straws, you clearly didn’t read the article (and don’t want to), so I quote the relevant passage for you as you seem to only have read the headline:
When asked whether there was evidence of other antisemitic phrases being used at the rally, Lanyon said “certainly”.
That + repeating “where’s the Jews” during a rally immediately 2 days after Hamas’ killings and mass rapes on October 7th is definitely indefensible and certainly is incompatible with how you want it to be interpreted.
You hoped that this article would be a gotcha moment but you seem to not have read anything beyond the headline, because the article is actually still pretty damning.
"As a result of that examination, the expert has concluded with overwhelming certainty that the phrase chanted during that protest, as recorded on the audio and visual files, was “Where’s the Jews?” he said.
“Not another phrase, as otherwise widely reported.”
When asked whether there was evidence of other antisemitic phrases being used at the rally, Lanyon said “certainly”.
“There is evidence of that, and those are offensive and completely unacceptable,” he said.
“But I think the major contention has been about the phrase that was chanted, and quite emphatically, our expert has said that it is 'Where’s the Jews?'”
Thank goodness, “where’s (sic) the Jews” instead of “gas the Jews”, just two days after the Oct 7 killings and mass rapes by Hamas, definitely makes it much better /s
The tone may be a bit harsh but it’s muuuuch better than how he used to be during his most toxic days. This is how he used to talk: https://www.networkworld.com/article/706908/security-torvalds-to-bad-security-devs-kill-yourself-now.html
Linus definitely got much better at handling his anger since his public apology in 2018.
Not gonna lie, part of me wants to relive the SoundBlaster and DOS extenders era and watch stuff with QuickTime. Tinkering with config.sys and autoexec.bat was quite fun back then.
Hamas is not a designated terrorist organization
It is:
One with Hamas, the two others with Islamic Jihad. So yes, that makes three terrorists.
You’re confusing me with someone else, or trying to put words in my mouth.
I’m referring to how commenters on c/world have been referring to this as “IDF killed 3 Palestinians” today thanks to this misinformation campaign.
you want to try and control the narrative but that’s not how this works
That’s… false? I’m not the one actively leaving out the fact that the 3 killed were Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists, which the AlJazeera article even admits. And I’m not the one trying to bury this detail with downvotes to keep the false “IDF killed 3 random Palestinians” narrative alive a little longer.
You believe that no one should be assassinated like that, whether they are a terrorist or not, that’s perfectly fair. (so I suppose you hate the way the US assassinated Osama Bin Laden too?)
But then, why do you feel that the affiliation should not be brought up? You should test your beliefs and go ask on c/asklemmy: “Is it morally wrong to assassinate three Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists hiding in a hospital?”.
No target can have a high enough value to justify committing a war crime over.
Then you shouldn’t have any issues with detailing that the three were Hamas and Islamic Jihad terrorists when you refer to this incident instead of maliciously saying “IDF killed 3 Palestinians”?
All of that is entirely irrelevant
Is it? If it was irrelevant, you wouldn’t need to leave it out to gather support for the assassinated terrorists. You perfectly know that the reaction would have been different if OP hadn’t left it out, which is why you still insist on leaving it out, and yes, that is scummy.
Every reputable outlet is not leaving out that crucial detail:
Why is it “trying to defend the indefensible” when manipulation and lying by omission get called out as people here keep spamming “look the IDF killed 3 Palestinians” when it’s actually 3 terrorists (one affiliated with Hamas, two with Islamic Jihad) that got killed?
You’re free to argue about the morality of assassinating three terrorists in a hospital. But it’s scummy to leave out the affiliation to try to mislead and gather more sympathy for the terrorists that got assassinated.
I’m sorry you feel sorry that Hamas and Islamic Jihad lost three terrorists today.
I wonder if people read beyond the headline, but it’s probably too much to ask.
About those assassinated, from that same article:
Hamas confirmed that Jalamneh was one of its members. The Jenin Brigade, which includes a number of Palestinian armed resistance groups, said in a statement that two of the three men were members of Islamic Jihad.
Or is AlJazeera also just Israeli propaganda?
at which point Hamas has no leverage
It’s astonishing that it has to be said but rape is neither resistance nor leverage.
No surprise as they already gave a hint earlier today: https://www.reuters.com/world/middle-east/hamas-fires-rockets-central-israel-army-intercepts-some-them-2024-01-29/

HIP is amazing. For everyone saying “nah it can’t be the same, CUDA rulez”, just try it, it works on NVidia GPUs too (there are basically macros and stuff that remap everything to CUDA API calls) so if you code for HIP you’re basically targetting at least two GPU vendors. ROCm is the only framework that allows me to do GPGPU programming in CUDA style on a thin laptop sporting an AMD APU while still enjoying 6 to 8 hours of battery life when I don’t do GPU stuff. With CUDA, in terms of mobility, the only choices you get are a beefy and expensive gaming laptop with a pathetic battery life and heating issues, or a light laptop + SSHing into a server with an NVidia GPU.
In the 2000s we had AdSense. So now we’re getting… AISense?
